Today I made a Manatee birthday card for my Step brother-law. This Manatee stamp and die set is from Hero Arts and I also used the Hero Arts Fish Tank stamp and die set on the inside page. For the front cover I used ocean waves that I used from my ocean dies to make ocean waves with and then layered them with alternating shades of blues. I then stamped my Manatee and three of the fish that came with the Manatee set. I used my Spectrum Noirs alcohol markers to color my stamps. I then cut them out with the coordinating dies and the little fish I had to fussy cut myself. I popped up the three fish with foam squares. As you can see I laid the Manatee on his back to make him look like he was wading in the Ocean.. I also put a hat on him too that came with the stamp set. On the inside page I stamped and colored with my alcohol markers and then cut everything out with the dies. I then cut a fish bowl out of a piece of acetate to put on top of the fish bowl and cut two strips of acetate to glue on the two fish, but I did not glue the fish onto the bowl. I glued the piece of acetate down but left a small hole for the strips of acetate to hang out so the fish could swim. I had fun making this card. For stamping, I used my Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

I made a Sympathy card for a my local King Soopers Pharmacy because they lost a fellow employee in the Boulder, Colorado Table Mesa King Soopers shooting which started in the pharmacy. I used my wow white embossing powder on white card stock and then used my heat gun to heat the embossing powder. I then used seven of my Simon Hurley inks from Ranger. The colors that I used are as follows: Midnight Snack, Fake Plant, Crown Me, Prom Queen, Guppy, Piggyback, and Sike. After I blended my inks, I then used my Tim Holtz sprayer with water and perfect pearls to give it that cool affect. I just love the Ink embossed look. I then added a little shaker heart to it too because there was a tiny boo boo and I was not going to throw this card away either. This stamp set is by Hero Arts too. I also used Bearly Arts glue, the best craft glue to use. I highly recommend that glue.
